The music video for the new duet "Cowboys and Plowboys" by Luke Bryan and Jon Pardi features some special guest stars who make an appearance alongside the two co-stars. These familiar faces in the video manage to capture the audience's attention and stand out.
Both singers invited their significant others to appear in their music videos. In one scene, Bryan and his wife of 17 years, Caroline Boyer, are seen embracing and enjoying the sunset in a field. Pardi is shown spinning his wife, Summer, around a dance floor in another scene, and in a third scene, he is seen holding his nearly one-year-old daughter, Presley, as they ride on horseback together.
It is understandable that Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the making of this music video. "Cowboys and Plowboys" provides a glimpse into the personal backgrounds of the two artists (Pardi, who was raised on the West Coast, portrays the cowboy, while Bryan, who comes from a family of peanut farmers, takes on the role of the plowboy).
Pardi expressed that he and Luke both believed that the song was perfect for them to sing together. They felt it was fitting since the song is about cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have a history of including their family members in their music videos. Bryan featured his wife and mother in the music video for his song "One Margarita" in 2020, which had a beach theme. On the other hand, Pardi included his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
Pardi's latest release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first new music since his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022, excluding a Christmas album released last year. He and his wife Summer became parents to baby Presley in February, and they have revealed that they are expecting their second child, a girl due in July.
