  • by

Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and the subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved allegations of assault.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of January 22.

Associated: Chris Young has been acquitted of all accusations following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.

Young expressed how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him during a challenging time, with many of them reassuring him that they believed in his innocence.

It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. No one should have to experience what happened. The positive aspect was witnessing the overwhelming love and support.

The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.

The security camera footage captures Young appearing composed before he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by extending his arm in front of him. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stagger backwards into the bar and ultimately fall down.

"I'm still trying to make sense of the false accusations and recent events that have been happening," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement and support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.

The new album "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.

"Turn up the volume and savor the moment. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I want to say thank you," Young expresses.
