The upcoming Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever. Only those willing to spend a lot of money will be able to attend the game.
As of Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide seating in the upper 300 section, with the website confirming that a seat is guaranteed at this price.
If the current prices remain the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be considered the most costly in history. The previous record holder for the highest average ticket purchase price was the 2020 Super Bowl, which had an average price of $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high price that year was the presence of the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in the game. However, this year's Super Bowl does not have the same situation.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the very first one to take place in Las Vegas. Experts believe that this unique location is causing ticket prices to increase, as fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the renowned sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
Many fans of the 49ers consider location to be an important factor when purchasing tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, as fans from the state have a shorter distance to travel to see their team play. In contrast, Kansas and Missouri account for only 7 percent of ticket sales on the website.
Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract more female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, the Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
