Chris Young recently spoke to his fans for the first time since his arrest and the subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved being arrested on assault charges.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed his gratitude on social media to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of January 22.
Update: Chris Young has been found innocent of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville
Young expressed in the video how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him and assure him that they do not believe he did anything wrong.
"It's a relief to see the charges dropped. No one should have to experience that. The positive part was receiving so much love and support."
The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the city center of Nashville.
Footage from a security camera captures Young behaving calmly before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by extending his arm in front of him. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to stumble backwards into the bar and fall down.
Young expresses that he is still trying to understand and deal with the false accusations and events that occurred in the previous week. Towards the end of the video, he shares that the encouragement and support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The new album "Double Down" will be released this Friday at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and savor the moment. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I appreciate your support," Young expresses.
