If the prices remain the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be considered the most costly one ever. The previous record holder for highest prices was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high prices that year was because the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were in the game. However, that is not the situation this year.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one held in Las Vegas, which experts believe is causing ticket prices to rise as fans want to enjoy a weekend in the city and attend the major sporting event.
If you were curious, the cost of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was typically around $12.
The proximity to the location of the game is a significant factor for fans of the 49ers. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, as fans from the state find it easier to travel to see their team. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
