Super Bowl 58 is shaping up to have the highest ticket prices ever. If you plan on attending this year's game, you'll need to be prepared to spend a lot of money.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on TickPick, a ticket resale website, was priced at $8,000. This ticket would secure you a seat in the upper 300 section, with the website stating that the purchase guarantees you a seat.
If the current ticket prices remain stable, this Super Bowl could become the most costly one in history. The highest priced Super Bowl so far was in 2020, with an average ticket price of $6,370. In that year, one of the main reasons for the high prices was that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was playing. However, this year, the same situation does not apply.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, which experts believe is contributing to the rise in ticket prices. Fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and culminate it with the prestigious sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
49er fans are strongly influenced by the location of games, as shown by StubHub's data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. This suggests that fans are more likely to attend games when they are closer to home. In comparison, Kansas and Missouri contribute to only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub.
We can't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract a larger female audience than usual.
It doesn't matter how you manage to get there, Allegiant Stadium, which has a capacity of 65,000 seats, will be completely full. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
