Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still coming to terms with the events of the past week, which included being arrested on assault charges.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Update: Chris Young has been found innocent of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville
In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have the support of his friends and fans who reached out to him and reassured him that they do not believe he is responsible for any of the accusations.
"It is a relief to see the charges being dropped. Going through legal trouble is never something I would want anyone to experience. However, the silver lining was the overwhelming love and support that was shown during this difficult time."
The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the central area of Nashville.
Footage from a security camera captures Young behaving calmly until he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out to him. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to trip and fall inside the bar.
In the beginning of the video, Young mentions that he is still trying to come to terms with the false accusations and events of the past week. Towards the end of the video, he shares that the encouragement and support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
"Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to say thank you," Young expresses.
