Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, likes to refer to himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer because he is a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has been involved in roping and riding since he was young, and it's a passion that runs in his family. As one of the older farmers on the show, Ty is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is hoping to find a partner who can not only be his companion but also a good mother figure to his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to work in agriculture. His farm is home to various animals and a historic cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's childhood exposure to horses and nature inspired him to pursue a farming career. He currently runs his own farm, which includes horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, 29 years old, runs a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on 1,000 acres of land. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by farmland. As a second-generation farmer, he grew up helping his father on the farm and now runs the family business, aiming to carry on the legacy established by his dad.
At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is the fourth generation of citrus and cattle farmers in Bartow, Florida. His extensive property consists of 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres for cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has shown maturity beyond his years due to the responsibility he took on after losing his father at 12. He now helps care for his mother and three sisters while managing the family farm.
The second season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" will air on Fox on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM Eastern Time.
