Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, likes to think of himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer, as he is a team roper. He manages a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. His love for roping and riding runs deep, as he has been involved in these activities since he was young. Ferrell, one of the more mature farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a good mother figure for his child.
At the age of 27, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who comes from a family with no prior farming background. His large property is home to various wildlife and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and has always enjoyed spending time outdoors, which influenced his decision to pursue a career in farming. He now runs his own farm, raising horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a farm that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley in Center, Colorado. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and it is surrounded by agricultural land. As a farmer, Rogers is following in his father's footsteps as a second generation farmer, having spent his youth assisting his father on the farm. He is committed to carrying on the family business and preserving the legacy that his father started.
At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. He owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres devoted to cattle. Despite his age, Smothers has had to mature quickly after his father passed away when he was just 12 years old, taking on responsibilities to support his mother and three sisters. He is the youngest farmer to be featured on the show but demonstrates wisdom beyond his years.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM ET on the Fox network.
