Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the highest-priced tickets ever for the game. If you're planning to attend this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to spend big as it is expected to be the most costly one yet.
As of Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was listed at $8,000. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, however, it is important to note that the site does guarantee that a seat will be provided.
If the prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket could become the priciest one ever. The most expensive Super Bowl ticket to date was for the 2020 game, which had an average price of $6,370. One reason for the high price that year was because the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was playing. However, that is not the case for this year's game.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one ever held in Las Vegas, and experts believe this is causing ticket prices to rise as fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the most popular sporting event in the world.
If you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
For fans of the 49ers, where the game is being held is a major factor in their decision to purchase tickets. According to StubHub, a website for reselling tickets, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, as fans want to make the shorter journey to support their team. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
We should also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event might attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, the Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
