Chris Young is addressing his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of the past week, which involved his arrest on assault allegations.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Update: Chris Young has been found innocent of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville
In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have friends and fans show their support and belief in him by saying "we got you, we don’t believe you did any of this."
"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. No one should have to experience something like that. The positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support shown."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville.
In the security camera footage, Young appears calm before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stumble backwards into the bar and fall down.
"I'm still trying to make sense of the false accusations and all the events that took place last week," Young shares at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he mentions that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The album "Double Down" is set to be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and savor the moment. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I want to express my thanks," Young expresses.
