Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer because he is a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Mo., where he raises horses and cattle. Roping and riding have always been a part of his life since he was young. Ferrell, one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother to his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who comes from a family that did not have previous experience in farming. His large piece of land is home to various animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was exposed to horses and nature from a young age, which inspired him to pursue a farming career. He currently runs his own farm, raising horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, a 29-year-old farmer, manages a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on 1,000 acres of land. The town he resides in is very small with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural fields. As a second-generation farmer, Rogers grew up helping his father on the farm and now runs the family business with the goal of carrying on his father's legacy.
At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. His large property includes 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres for cattle. Despite his young age, Nathan has shown maturity beyond his years, especially after the loss of his father when he was just 12. Since then, he has taken on the responsibility of caring for his mother and three sisters.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM ET on the Fox network.
