Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History as Fans Gear Up for Sin City Showdown

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever. Those interested in attending the game will need to be willing to spend a significant amount of money.

On Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale platform TickPick. This ticket would grant you a seat in the upper 300 section, although the site does mention that the purchase includes a guaranteed seat.

If the current ticket prices remain steady, this year's Super Bowl tickets will become the most expensive in history. The previous record was set at the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. The high prices that year were largely due to the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were participating in the game. However, this year the home team is not playing in the Super Bowl.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the inaugural one to take place in Las Vegas, and experts believe this is causing ticket prices to rise. Fans are excited about the opportunity to spend a weekend in Sin City and attend the most significant sporting event globally.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The location where the game is taking place is a significant factor for fans of the 49ers. According to StubHub, a website for reselling tickets, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, where many 49er fans are located and can easily travel to see their team play. In comparison, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.

Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 65,000, will be filled to capacity. The Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
