Super Bowl 58 is shaping up to have the highest-priced tickets ever. To attend the game this year, you'll need to be willing to spend a lot of money.
As of Thursday, the most affordable single ticket available was priced at $8,000 on the ticket resale platform TickPick. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, but it is important to mention that the site ensures you will have a seat.
If the prices remain steady, this year's Super Bowl ticket might end up being the most costly in history. The previous record holder for the highest prices was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. One of the reasons for the high prices that year was that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were in the game. However, this year is different as there is no home team playing in the Super Bowl.
For the first time ever, the Super Bowl will take place in Las Vegas. Ticket experts believe this unique location is causing prices to increase, as fans are eager to spend a weekend in Sin City and attend the world's largest sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average cost of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The location plays a significant role in the decision-making process for 49er fans when buying tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales are from California, as fans prefer to make the shorter journey to watch their favorite team play. In contrast, Kansas and Missouri account for only 7 percent of ticket sales on the website.
Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 65,000, will be filled to capacity. The kickoff for Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11th at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
