Chris Young is speaking publicly for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges for assault. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of the events that occurred during the past week.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Chris Young has been found not guilty of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
Young expressed in the video how much it meant to him to have the support of his friends and fans who reached out to him and reassured him that they do not believe the accusations against him.
"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to have to experience that. The positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support shown."
The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.
Surveillance footage captured Young appearing composed before he tries to signal a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to lose his balance, fall back into the bar, and collapse.
Young mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that occurred in the previous week. Towards the end of the video, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.
The new album "Double Down" will be released this Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
Young encourages turning up the volume and enjoying the music. He expresses his gratitude, love, and appreciation towards the listeners.
