Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, 42, prefers to be known as a cowboy rather than a farmer because he is a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has been passionate about roping and riding since he was a young boy. As one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. Ty is looking for a partner who can be both a companion to him and a caring mother to his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer who is the first in his family to pursue this career. He resides in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, on a large piece of land that is home to many animals and an old cabin from the 1800s. Living with his three dogs, Kolinsky's childhood was filled with horses and outdoor adventures, which inspired him to become a farmer. He now runs his own farm, raising horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, age 29, manages a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on a 1,000-acre plot of land. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural fields. As a farmer, Rogers is following in the footsteps of his father, who also worked on the farm when Rogers was a child. He is dedicated to continuing the family business and carrying on the legacy that his father started.
At the age of 23, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and has a strong connection to farming. He is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. His farm spans 300 acres of land for crops and over 500 acres for cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers is mature and responsible, having taken on the role of helping his mother and three sisters after his father passed away when he was just 12 years old.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM ET.
