Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the highest ticket prices ever in the game's history. To attend this year's Super Bowl, you'll need to be willing to pay a premium.
As of Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, with the website indicating that the purchase includes a guaranteed seat.
Should the prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket will be remembered as the most costly in history. The previous record holder is the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. The high price that year was largely influenced by the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were competing. However, this year, the home team is not playing in the Super Bowl.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, a fact that is causing ticket prices to increase. Experts believe that the appeal of spending a weekend in Sin City and culminating it with the world's biggest sporting event is driving this trend.
Just in case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The proximity to the stadium is a major consideration for 49er fans when purchasing tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, as fans from the state have a shorter distance to travel to watch their team play. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, the Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11th, at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
