Jennifer Nettles, the host of the Fox show, acknowledges that this season, the female contestants are displaying more intense emotions, energy, and responsiveness, which may result in some dramatic moments on the farm.

The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will follow the journeys of four farmers from different states in the United States as they search for their soulmates.

Each farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to come and live on their farm, giving the women a firsthand experience of life as a farmer's spouse.

Get to know the farmers featured in Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:

Ty Ferrell, aged 42, likes to refer to himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer, as he works as a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. His passion for roping and riding started at a young age and has stuck with him ever since. As one of the older farmers on the show, Ferrell is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.

At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who comes from a family with no farming background. His large property is home to many animals and an old cabin from the 1800s where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's love for horses and the outdoors from his childhood led him to pursue a farming career. He currently runs his own farm with horses and cattle.

At 29 years old, Brandon Rogers manages a large potato and barley farm spanning 1,000 acres in Center, Colorado. Center is a small town with minimal infrastructure, only having one stoplight, and is primarily surrounded by farmland. Rogers is following in his father's footsteps as a second generation farmer, having grown up working on the farm alongside his dad. He is committed to carrying on the family business and preserving the legacy established by his father.

Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of citrus and cattle farmers. He manages a large property with 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres dedicated to raising cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has had to mature quickly after the loss of his father at the age of 12, taking on responsibilities to support his mother and three sisters.

The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1 at 9PM Eastern Time on the Fox network.
