Lead singer of Sugar Ray confirms that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were accurate.
The lyrics were taken from Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 from his album with the same title. The specific part of the song includes the lyrics: "I don't care who you are / I'm Kid Rock from the old generation / I have more wealth than Matchbox Twenty / I get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."
How was a solution found to this question that has been around for over twenty years? It all began when Rock Feed posted on social media asking if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his post.
McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name. He addressed this response through X (formerly known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's claim. It would be intriguing to see how their financial success compares, considering both bands have been popular for four decades.
