Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. Since the beginning of his career in mainstream country music, Brown has consistently shown his support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that aim to provide opportunities for at-risk youth who may not have access to resources.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back in their professional endeavors.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, a supportive community and opportunities for growth. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, has expressed that he wishes he had access to the safe and nurturing environment that the organization strives to create for young people.
Apart from donating money, Brown has also given children opportunities. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, and shared his own story with them over dinner. He has also helped revive a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer has been recognized for his efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for that year.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
