Lead singer of Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath, has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about "getting more ass" were accurate. McGrath confirmed that the musician was telling the truth in his song "Bawitdaba."
The lyrics in question were taken from Rock's song "Cocky" from his album of the same name released in 2001. The part of the song includes the lyrics: "I am Kid Rock from the old school, who are you / I have more money than Matchbox Twenty / I get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."
The answer to this question, which has been around for over twenty years, was finally found. Rock Feed sparked the discussion by asking on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his post.
McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor and confirmed that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. This response was shared through X, a social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be intriguing to compare the financial success of both bands, as they have been successful in four decades.
