Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, prefers to identify as a cowboy rather than a farmer, as his main occupation is "team roper". He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he keeps horses and cattle. His love for roping and riding started in his childhood and has stayed with him. Ferrell, one of the more mature farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is seeking a partner who can not only be a companion to him but also a caring mother to his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a first-generation farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. His farm has a large amount of wildlife and an old cabin from the 19th century, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and spent much of his childhood outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a career in farming. He currently runs his own farm, raising horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on a 1,000-acre plot of land. The town he resides in is very small and has only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. He comes from a family of farmers, and he spent his youth helping his father on the farm. Rogers is dedicated to carrying on his father's legacy by running the family business.
At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is currently a fourth generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. His property is extensive, with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres devoted to cattle. Despite his youth, Smothers is known for his wisdom, having had to take on responsibilities at a young age after his father passed away when he was just 12. He now plays a crucial role in caring for his mother and three sisters.
Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM ET.
