Sugar Ray frontman confirms that Kid Rock was truthful in his lyrics about getting more attention from women compared to Mark McGrath.
The lyrics in question were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Kid Rock in 2001. In the song, he boasts about his identity as Kid Rock, his wealth compared to Matchbox Twenty, and his ability to attract more attention from women than Mark McGrath.
How was a question that had been around for over twenty years finally answered? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the lead singer of Sugar Ray in his post.
Soon after, McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor. He confirmed that the individual did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name, McGrath. McGrath's response was shared through X, which was previously known as Twitter.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's claim. It would be interesting to see how their financials compare, considering both bands have been active for four decades.
