The lead singer of Sugar Ray has confirmed that Kid Rock was being truthful in his lyrics when he claimed to "get more ass" than Mark McGrath.
The lyrics in question were taken from Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 on his album with the same title. In this part of the song, Rock asserts his identity and success by comparing himself to other musicians, claiming to have more money and romantic success than Matchbox Twenty and Mark McGrath.
How was a question that has been around for over twenty years finally answered? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his post.
McGrath responded to the question in a lighthearted manner, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name. This response was shared through X (formerly Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. Since both bands have been performing for four decades, it would be intriguing to see how their finances compare.
