Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, likes to consider himself a cowboy rather than a farmer, as he specializes in team roping. He manages a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Roping and riding are a part of his upbringing, as he has been involved in these activities since childhood. Ferrell, who is one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother to his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who is the first in his family to pursue farming. His large property is home to various wildlife and includes a 19th century cabin where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and enjoyed spending time outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a career in farming. He currently owns a farm with horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a farm that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley in Center, Colorado. He resides in a small town with only one traffic light, surrounded by farmland. As a second generation farmer, Rogers grew up helping his father on the farm. He is committed to carrying on the family business and honoring the legacy his father began.
At just 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is the fourth generation of citrus and cattle farmers in Bartow, Florida. He manages a large property with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his young age, Nathan has shown maturity and responsibility since his father passed away when he was only 12 years old. He has taken on the role of helping his mother and three sisters while continuing the family farming tradition.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox at 9PM ET on Thursday, February 1st.
