Lead singer of Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath, has verified that Kid Rock was not lying in his lyrics when he claimed to "get more ass" than McGrath. McGrath confirmed that Kid Rock's boast in the song "Bawitdaba" was accurate.
The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock, which was released in 2001 as part of his album with the same title. In this particular verse, the lyrics mention Rock identifying himself as Kid Rock from the old school and boasting about having more money than the band Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.
How was the question that has been lingering for over twenty years finally resolved? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he even tagged the Sugar Ray vocalist in his suggestion.
McGrath responded to the question with a good sense of humor, confirming that the person in question did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. This response was shared by the singer through the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's claim. It would be interesting to see how their financials compare, considering both bands have been successful for four decades.
