Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, who is 42 years old, prefers to be known as a cowboy rather than a farmer because he is a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Roping and riding are activities that he has been passionate about since he was a young child. Ferrell, who is one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is seeking a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who comes from a family that did not have a history in farming. His large property includes plenty of animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and enjoyed spending time outside, which led him to pursue a career in farming. He currently runs his own farm with horses and cows.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on a 1,000-acre plot of land. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural fields. Rogers comes from a farming family and has been working on the farm with his father since he was a child. He is dedicated to carrying on the family business and hopes to uphold the legacy that his father started.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of farmers. He is the fourth generation of citrus and cattle farmers in his family. His property is huge, with 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite being the youngest farmer on the show, Smothers is very knowledgeable and mature. He had to take on responsibilities at a young age after losing his father when he was 12, helping to support his mother and three sisters.
The second season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" will debut on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM Eastern Time on the Fox network.
