Sugar Ray Singer Confirms Kid Rock Really Did “Get More Ass” Than Mark McGrath

  • by

The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention than Mark McGrath were accurate.

The words were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock, released in 2001 on his album with the same title. In that part of the song, the lyrics are: "Do you even know who I am? I am Kid Rock from the traditional style. I have more money than the band Matchbox Twenty and I get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."

The question that has been unanswered for over twenty years was finally addressed recently. The process began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock truly had more romantic partners than Mark McGrath.

Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his post.

McGrath responded to the question with humor, confirming that the person in question did indeed rhyme "ass" with "McGrath". This response was made through X (previously known as Twitter).
