Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer as he works as a team roper on his 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. His passion for roping and riding started in childhood and has stayed with him. Ferrell, who is one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father to a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be a companion to him but also a caring mother figure for his child.
At the age of 27, Mitchell Kolinsky is a farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee who is the first in his family to pursue farming. His property is large and home to many animals, as well as a cabin from the 19th century where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's childhood included horses and plenty of time spent outside, inspiring him to choose a career in farming. He currently owns a farm with horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a farm that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley in Center, Colorado. The town where he resides is very small, with just one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. He comes from a farming family and grew up helping his father on the farm. Rogers is dedicated to carrying on the family business and honoring the legacy his father began.
At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers in Bartow, Florida. He is the fourth generation of citrus and cattle farmers on his family's property, which includes 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres for cattle. Despite his age, Smothers shows maturity and responsibility, especially since he lost his father when he was just 12 years old. He has taken on the role of helping to care for his mother and three sisters in the absence of his father.
The second season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" will begin airing on Fox at 9PM ET on Thursday, February 1st.
