Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, 42, likes to identify himself as a cowboy rather than a farmer because he works as a team roper. He manages a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, with horses and cattle. Roping and riding are deeply ingrained in him, as he has been involved in these activities since he was a young child. Ferrell, who is one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is seeking a partner who can not only be a companion to him but also a caring mother figure to his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to work in agriculture. His large property has abundant wildlife and includes a historic cabin from the 19th century, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and enjoyed spending time outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a farming career. He currently owns a farm with horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a large farm that grows potatoes and barley in Center, Colorado. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. He comes from a family of farmers and began working on the farm with his father during his childhood. Rogers remains dedicated to running the family farm and aims to carry on the legacy that his father began.
At 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. He owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres for cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has shown maturity and responsibility since losing his father at 12, taking on the role of supporting his mother and three sisters.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM ET on the Fox network.
