The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of his album with the same title. In this particular part of the song, the lyrics mention how the singer is Kid Rock from the old school, claiming to have more money than Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.
The question that had been unanswered for over twenty years was recently addressed. It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after this, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. He also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his suggestion.
McGrath responded to the question in a lighthearted manner, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name. He seemed to find it amusing and clarified any confusion through X (formerly known as Twitter).
