Jennifer Nettles, who hosts the Fox show, acknowledges that this season, the female contestants are displaying more intense emotions and reactions, which may result in some tense moments on the farm.

The upcoming season of Farmer Wants a Wife will showcase four farmers from different parts of the United States who are searching for their soulmates.

However, there is a unique aspect to this situation where each farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to join them on their farm. This experience will allow the women to fully understand the responsibilities and lifestyle of being a farmer's wife.

Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:

Ty Ferrell, 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer, with his main job being a team roper. He manages a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ferrell has a passion for roping and riding that he's had since childhood. As one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.

At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a first-generation farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. His farm is home to a variety of wildlife and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and love for the outdoors inspired him to pursue a career in farming. Today, he owns a farm with both horses and cattle.

Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a large potato and barley farm spanning 1,000 acres in Center, Colorado. The town where he resides is small and has only one traffic light, surrounded by agricultural land. As a second-generation farmer, Rogers grew up helping his father on the farm and now runs the family business. He aims to carry on the legacy his dad began.

Nathan Smothers, 23, comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. He owns a large property with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has shown maturity beyond his years after his father passed away when he was 12. He has taken on the responsibility of helping care for his mother and three sisters.

The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1st, at 9PM Eastern Time on the Fox network.
