Kane Brown: Country Star with a Heart of Gold for Underprivileged Kids

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. He has been a strong advocate for providing opportunities to at-risk youth since the beginning of his career in mainstream country music.

Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-term dedication to assisting children and focusing on other charitable initiatives.

Brown has been chosen to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back to their community as an important aspect of their professional lives.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strives to create a supportive environment and opportunities for children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing socioeconomic challenges. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse as a child, expressed a desire for the same safe and inclusive community that the organization aims to offer to young people.

Aside from donating money, such as funding the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also directly helped children. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, even including dinner in the experience while sharing his own story with the group. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The country singer has been recognized for his involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and in 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence received the award last year.
