He has shown his support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that aim to provide opportunities for those in need. Recently, his dedication to helping disadvantaged children earned him a significant award.
Currently, the country music radio field is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their consistent dedication to supporting children and placing importance on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been chosen as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back in their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aim to offer a welcoming environment and opportunities to children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. Brown, who faced challenges like homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, has expressed a desire for all children to have access to the type of supportive and safe community that the organization strives to create.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the remodeling of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children chances to experience special moments. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, even having dinner with them and sharing his personal story. Furthermore, he has been involved in revitalizing a local chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer has been recognized for his involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, receiving the title of "Champion of Youth" in 2022.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and more. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
