The lead singer of Sugar Ray has confirmed that Kid Rock's lyrics about "getting more ass" than Mark McGrath were true.
The words were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which is part of his album also called "Cocky". In the lyrics, he talks about his identity as Kid Rock, boasting about his wealth and popularity compared to other musicians like Matchbox Twenty and Mark McGrath.
How did they finally answer a question that has been around for over twenty years? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. He also mentioned the singer from Sugar Ray by tagging him.
McGrath quickly responded to the question with a good sense of humor. The singer confirmed that the person in question did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath, earning extra points for creativity. McGrath clarified this response through X (formerly known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be intriguing to compare the financial success of both bands, considering they have been active for four decades.
