Kane Brown has been recognized with a big award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. Since he first became a popular country artist, Brown has consistently supported organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that help disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-term dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back to their communities as an important aspect of their work.
He will be honored at CRS Honors, which is an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to create a supportive and diverse community for children, particularly those facing economic challenges. Brown, who faced hardships like homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed regret that he did not have access to the safe and nurturing environment that the organization offers to young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children chances to experience unique opportunities. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, treating them to dinner and sharing his personal story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in efforts to revitalize a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized before. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his work.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
