You are currently viewing the Amber 4 Ultra plug-in suite created by Acustica Audio.
The newest release from Acustica Audio utilizes their Hyper technology and updated Aria engine to offer an upgraded version of their well-known Amber 4 plug-in suite. Amber 4 Ultra features accurate representations of Class A equipment such as two EQs, a compressor, and a preamp, with improved visuals and audio quality.
The suite includes two EQ plug-ins, Amber 4 Ultra and Amber 4 Stereo Ultra. Each plug-in has a set of controls, with the Stereo version having separate controls for each channel. There are four bands in each plug-in, each with controls for frequency and gain. The low- and high-mid bands have a width control, while the low- and high-frequency bands have a filter type control for switching between peak and shelf filters.
The Amber 4 Ultra has a continuous control feature that allows users to target mid, left/right, and side signals, while the Amber 4 Stereo Ultra offers individual control over the left/mid and right/side channels. Acustica claims that the Amber 4 Ultra is a highly powerful and low-noise parametric EQ in the digital realm, while they also state that the Amber 4 Stereo Ultra is one of the most musically transparent EQ options in their collection.
The Amber 4 Comp Ultra emulates a Class-A opto compressor using Hyper technology to provide a clear and natural dynamics processor. It includes standard compressor controls as well as features like side-chain filtering, adjustable stereo linking, a blend control for mid, left/right, and side signals, and built-in parallel compression.
The Amber 4 Pre Ultra includes a variety of emulations of Class A preamp designs, totaling at least eight options. These emulations cover both solid-state and valve-based units, each with a straightforward set of controls including input and output levels, as well as options for adjusting Preamp (gain) and Filter (high-pass) settings.
The updated Aira engine has enabled each plug-in to have dynamic and real-time metering displays, as well as the company's Anti-Aliasing algorithm. Additionally, the plug-ins now use less CPU compared to their previous versions.
System Requirements
Amber 4 Ultra can be used on computers with Windows 10 or 11, and on Macs with macOS 10.15 or later. It is compatible with VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plug-in formats.
The Amber 4 Ultra is currently on sale for €89 until February 26, 2024, after which it will be priced at €209. Get it now while the introductory offer lasts!
