You have arrived at this location. Sennheiser has introduced the new HD 490 PRO

Sennheiser has introduced the HD 490 PRO headphones, which they say provide excellent sound quality, comfort, and durability. These headphones are designed for modern music production needs.

The HD 490 PRO series guarantees a natural frequency response without any coloration, providing a lively and genuine sound reproduction throughout the entire range of audio frequencies from 5Hz to 36.1kHz (-10dB). These headphones come with two sets of ear pads that are tailored for producing and mixing music. This function helps prevent ear fatigue and enables precise identification of frequencies during critical listening tasks.

The HD 490 PRO headphones are designed with an open-back design that includes neodymium magnets and Sennheiser's unique low-frequency cylinder system. This design is meant to deliver a complete, precise, and clear low-end sound, allowing for accurate capture of low frequencies.

Sennheiser has created these headphones with a focus on providing comfort by eliminating pressure points, offering flexibility, and being lightweight. These features make them ideal for long studio sessions. The HD 490 PRO series utilizes Sennheiser's Open-frame Architecture to reduce resonance and lower total harmonic distortion (THD).

The headphones come with a plug-in called Dear Reality dearVR MIX-SE that uses spatial audio technology. This plug-in creates a virtual mixing environment that mimics the acoustic characteristics of different real-life mix studios and locations when using headphone monitors.

The HD 490 PRO Plus model comes with a longer 3m cable, an additional headband pad, and a convenient carry case.

The HD 490 PRO series comes in two versions – HD 490 PRO and HD 490 PRO Plus. Both packages include the HD 490 PRO headphones and come with a 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm adapter, a 1.8 m cable, mixing and producing ear pads. The HD 490 PRO Plus also includes an extra headband pad, a 3 m cable, and a case.

The Sennheiser HD 490 PRO headphones are currently on the market, with the PRO version priced at $399£349 and the PRO Plus version priced at $479£399.
