Kane Brown has shown consistent support for underprivileged and at-risk youth by actively participating in programs like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career as a mainstream country artist. This commitment to helping others has recently earned him a significant award.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer known for "I Can Feel It" for their long-term dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been chosen as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, a yearly recognition that highlights artists who prioritize giving back in their professional endeavors.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a supportive environment and opportunities to children, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed a desire for the kind of safe and inclusive community that the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children opportunities. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, treating them to dinner and sharing his personal story. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his work.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
