Kane Brown Receives 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award for Dedication to Helping Underprivileged Kids

  • by

Kane Brown has consistently shown his support for underprivileged and at-risk youth by actively participating in programs like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career in mainstream country music. This dedication to helping those in need has recently earned him a significant award.

Currently, the country music radio sector is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their ongoing dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable initiatives.

Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back through their work.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges, a supportive community and opportunities for growth. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, has expressed a desire for the safe and inclusive environment that the organization strives to create for young people.

Aside from donating money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given kids opportunities personally. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, and included dinner in the experience where he shared his own story with the group. Additionally, he has helped revive a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The country music artist has been recognized for his efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization for his work.

In the past, recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award have included Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the winner of this award last year.
