Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. Since the beginning of his career as a popular country artist, Brown has consistently shown his support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that work to give opportunities to at-risk and underserved youth.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-standing dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back to their communities.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, a ceremony happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic hardships, a supportive community and opportunities for growth. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed his desire for a safe and welcoming environment like the one the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, Brown has also given children chances to experience special events. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults, along with a dinner where he shared his personal story. Additionally, he has helped revitalize a local chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have received recognition in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include musicians like Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award in the previous year.
