Kane Brown has shown a commitment to supporting underprivileged children by being involved with organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career in country music.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to assisting children and their focus on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given annually to artists who prioritize philanthropy and giving back in their professional endeavors.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, a supportive community and opportunities. Brown, who faced hardships like homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, believes that having a safe space like the one the organization provides would have greatly benefited him while growing up.
Aside from donating money, such as the donation that supported the remodeling of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally created chances for children. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local organization, adding dinner to the experience as he talked about his own experiences with the group. Additionally, he has been involved in revitalizing a local chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and more. Tracy Lawrence was the winner of the award last year.
