Chris Young expressed gratitude towards his fans for their support during a difficult time, and to show his appreciation, he will be releasing a new song on Friday.

Young was first taken into custody and accused of causing chaos, refusing to cooperate with authorities, and physically attacking a law enforcement officer in January after an altercation with an agent from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission at a bar in Nashville. But, after security footage proved that Young was not the one who started the fight, the charges against him were dropped without delay.

"I am still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that occurred last week. However, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who supported me," Young stated in a video released on Thursday.

Having the support of friends and fans meant a lot to me during a difficult time. Seeing the charges against me dismissed was a relief, as I wouldn't wish such a situation on anyone. The love and support I received was a bright spot in the midst of it all.

The release date for Young's upcoming album, titled Young Love & Saturday Nights, is set for March 22. So far, he has only released the title track, which includes a guitar riff from David Bowie's hit song "Rebel Rebel" from 1974.
