Kane Brown has always been a strong advocate for underprivileged children, especially through his support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and other programs that help at-risk youth. His dedication to helping those in need has earned him a significant award.
Currently, the country music radio sector is acknowledging the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-standing dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable initiatives.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back to others in their work.
He will be honored at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a sense of belonging and a supportive environment to children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. Brown, who faced challenges like homelessness, racism, and abuse during his own childhood, expressed a desire for having access to a safe space like the one the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given kids opportunities himself. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, including dinner, where he shared his own story with the group. Additionally, he has helped revitalize a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his work.
In the past, recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award have included artists like Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and others. Tracy Lawrence was the winner of the award last year.
