The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about "getting more ass" than Mark McGrath were true.
The lyrics were taken from Kid Rock's song "Cocky" from his album with the same title released in 2001. The specific part of the song contains the lyrics: "Do you know who I am? I am Kid Rock from the old days. I have more money than Matchbox Twenty and get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."
How was a question that has been around for over twenty years finally answered? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media whether Kid Rock really had more romantic success than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also tagged the singer from Sugar Ray.
McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor, confirming that he did rhyme "ass" with his name. He made the statement through X (formerly known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be intriguing to see how their finances compare, considering both bands have been performing for four decades.
