Kane Brown has shown a strong commitment to helping underprivileged children by supporting organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career as a mainstream country artist. This dedication has earned him a significant award.
Currently, the country music radio sector is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their consistent dedication to supporting children and prioritizing charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back to their community as a significant aspect of their career.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to give children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic disadvantages, a chance to be part of a welcoming community. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his own childhood, has expressed that he wishes he had access to the safe and supportive environment that the organization strives to offer to young people.
Apart from donating money, such as funding the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally given children opportunities. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, with dinner included, and shared his own story with the group. Additionally, he has helped to revive a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
