Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. Since the beginning of his career as a popular country singer, Brown has shown strong support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that aim to provide opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their ongoing dedication to assisting children and their focus on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been awarded the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back in their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a supportive environment and opportunities to children from all backgrounds, with a focus on those facing socioeconomic challenges. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, has expressed that he wishes he had access to the type of safe and inclusive community that the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children unique experiences. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, treating them to dinner while sharing his own story. Additionally, he has been involved in revitalizing a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized before. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence received the award last year.
