Sugar Ray Singer Confirms Kid Rock Lyrics Were True: Did Kid Rock Really “Get More Ass” Than Mark McGrath?

  • by

The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock was telling the truth in his lyrics about getting more attention than Mark McGrath.

The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of his album with the same title. In one part of the song, he mentions his identity and boasts about having more money than the band Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.

How was a long-standing question finally resolved after twenty years? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media, "Did Kid Rock really have more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath?"

Shortly after this, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his post.

McGrath responded to the question with good humor and confirmed that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name. He clarified this through X, which was formerly known as Twitter.
