Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. Throughout his career as a country artist, he has consistently shown his support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that offer opportunities to at-risk youth.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-term dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable activities.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given annually to artists who prioritize giving back through their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, a ceremony happening on Feb. 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing socioeconomic challenges, a supportive community and opportunities for growth. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed his desire for a safe and nurturing environment like that offered by the organization during his own youth.
Apart from donating money, such as funding the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children opportunities personally. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, including dinner, while sharing his own story with the group. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tenn.
The country singer's involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America has been recognized before. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his efforts.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
