Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-term dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been chosen to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given out each year to artists who prioritize giving back in their professional endeavors.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on Feb. 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a safe and supportive community for children in need, particularly those facing economic challenges. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed a desire for the type of nurturing environment that the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, Brown has also given children opportunities to experience special events. For example, he gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, treating them to dinner and sharing his personal story. Additionally, he has helped revitalize a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.
In the past, artists like Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and many more have received the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
